Dear Valued Customer
I have the regrettable task of informing our customers that Chisletts
(Bridgwater) Ltd will cease trading on the 29th February ’08. There are many
reasons for this decision but primarily the land surrounding our premises is
due to be developed in the near future and I fear it will become impossible
to trade as a tool hire depot from this site here in Bridgwater.
I am however happy to tell you that Yeovil Hire Company, has purchased the
goodwill and certain stock items (primarily the powered access equipment)
YHC will take over on Monday 3rd March 2008 and will operate for a number of
weeks from the current hire shop in Monmouth Street (Bridgwater) until their
new 7,000 sq ft depot at Condor Quay, (Bridgwater) (near Jewsons Builders
Merchants), is fully refurbished, which we estimate to be mid April.
We will continue to offer a full Glass & Glazing service from the Monmouth
Street (Bridgwater) premises and all accounts will remain open. Once YHC
have moved to there new premises, we plan to move the Glass Department into
the hire shop and expand our range of glass and glazing products & services.
Andy Jarvis and I will be available to answer any questions should you have
any. Our telephone number will remain the same during the transitional
period but will eventually be changed to (01278) 427 727.
All of Chisletts remaining hire stock (over 1000 lots) is due to be
auctioned at Dunkeswell airfield, Wellington on the 15th March 08. The sale
will be held by MST Auctioneers (www.mstauctioneers.co.uk)
and will contain the full range of equipment, from mini diggers to plate
compactors, 16KVA trailer mounted generators to battery drills - and
